Pre-Constructed 7/12 Pitch Roof Collar Tie

Many Pleasant Valley consumers chose the 7/12 attic storage option offered. A collar tie is required with this type of construction as a horizontal connector between a pair of trusses. This is used in order to prevent sagging or spreading of trusses. Each collar tie connects a matching pair of trusses at mid-span, stiffening them and improving the overall structure.

Our new, optional pre-constructied collar tie offers a higher floor-to-ceiling height. With this feature, your attic will have the benefit of higher headroom, in addition to our already wider, longer and stronger attic spaces!
