Pleasant Valley Builds 500th Home
In State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Facility

Achievement Comes Only 21 Months Since Start-up

For Immediate Release

The 500th new home rolls off assembly line at manufacturing plant of Pleasant Valley Modular Homes in Pine Grove Township

PINE GROVE (December 11, 2006) – Today Pleasant Valley Modular Homes (PVMH) rolled out the 500th home manufactured in the 21-month history of the firm.

The 2,200 square-foot two-story home will be shipped in four modules and erected on a foundation-ready home site in Wellsboro by Lewis Homes , a PVMH factory-authorized dealer operating in Tioga County .

PVMH serves a 14-state market in the northeastern U.S.

When active operations began 77 people were employed in the plant. Today the company workforce comprises 180 employees – a more than two-fold increase in less than two years.

The first home was shipped from the PVMH manufacturing plant in March 2005.

Eyewitnesses of that occasion included the Schuylkill County Commissioners, State Rep. Bob Allen, R-125, other lawmakers and local officials from Pine Grove Township and Pine Grove Borough, and several directors of the Schuylkill Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO). All these, together with officials of the Pine Grove Area School District, U.S. Rep. T. Timothy Holden, D-17 and state Sen. James J. Rhoades, R-29, had worked together in partnership with PVMH president Wayne A. Fanelli to bring more jobs to Pine Grove.

The project was made possible, in part, through a SEDCO-administered $1.75 million loan from the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA).
